Well another successful LAN in Mt. Vernon...Special Thanks to our sole sponsor for this LAN...PC Rescue and Sales of Mt. Vernon... We gave away nearly an entire PC courtesy of PC Rescue...We had some great BF2 action, as well as some insane battles in UT2004...In the wee hours of the morning we had some old school Desert Combat Chopper fighting...We will be planning our next LAN very soon...and setting the date in a few days...so check back to MTVLAN.com for info on our next LAN...

I think we could rename this LAN, Battlefield 2 LAN. Seems as though everyone was playing BF2, we changed our tounament to BF2, we even gave away a copy of BF2. I hope everyone had a good time at the LAN, I know our staff thought everything went really well. Thanks to our sponsors, and everyone who helped out setting up and cleaning up.

Our first LAN party of the summer was a overall success, thanks to many people. First of all, Thanks to everyone who attended, and to our sponsors. Special thanks to PC Rescue of Mt. Vernon, who gave us some great prizes to give away. We had over 40 people in our Desert Combat tournament, that went well and have some great matches. Unfortunatly, we had very limited Counter Strike Source gameplay thanks to Steam. They did their best to ruin offline gameplay for LAN parties like MTVLAN. Check out the pics from this LAN Party. We have set the date for the first LAN of the summer. May 20th and 21st is the next LAN, so keep your calendar open. Other news worth noting...MTVLAN will be charging those attending an additional $5 for each extra machine brought into the venue. Unfortunatly these extra machines have caused problems with our power distribution, and network setup. Also, coming up at this LAN will be our long awaited Desert Combat Tourny, so get your team together now...And we will see you at the LAN

MTVLAN Staff wants to thank everyone from attending our last LAN party, With about 70 people in attendance we had a great turn out for the last LAN of '04. We also what to thank all our sponsors, especially PC Rescue and Sales of Mt. Vernon. Fortunatly we only had one power issue that was quickly fixed and only effected a few gamers. Also, our tournaments didn't go as planned due to time limits we had to call off our Desert Combat Tourny. If you have any questions or suggestions for us please E-mail us.

MTVLAN has recently purchased some new networking equipment. Due to our recent growth and the falling prices in gigabit over copper technology, MTVLAN will now begin to phase out our 10/100 switches with full 10/100/1000 gigabit switches. For those of you with gigabit cards will be able to transfer files faster, but everyone will see lower pings, and a better network at MTVLAN parties. Currently MTVLAN has (2) full gigabit 24-port switches.
